Test-trenching in conjunction with an archaeological assessment was undertaken at Baunacloka, Mungret, in advance of the demolition of a house and the construction of a new house on the same site. The house site is located in the vicinity of the zone of archaeological potential for Mungret Abbey. Two trenches measuring 7.5m and 2.5m in length by 1.5m wide were excavated to the rear of the existing house. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the test-trenching.
