The proposed development site at Liscallyroan is located just outside the village of Drumsna. The development is to consist of a single house, garage, access and septic tank/percolation area on a half-acre site. The site is near a ringfort located on a low rise across the road from the development site. Monitoring of all groundworks was carried out in August 2004. The topsoil consisted of a dark-grey/brown clay with small stones. It ranged between 0.15m and 0.25m deep and rested on natural subsoil consisting of a compact, light-grey/brown clay with small stones and patches of gravel. There was no evidence of any archaeological activity on the site.
