The proposed development at Curragh South will consist of four houses, access, septic tanks/percolation areas and a small marina, on the shore of Lough Allen. The site is near a church and holy well located immediately to the north. Testing was carried out in June 2004. Eight trenches were excavated by machine to a depth of 0.2-0.4m, to below the level of natural subsoil. No archaeological features or material were identified.
