Garrymore Bog is located immediately west of Garryhinch Bog. It was accessed from a laneway off an unclassified road that runs north-east off the N80 (Tullamore to Mountmellick road). There were considerable turbury plots surrounding the Bord na M—na production bog at its northern, western and southern extents. Garrymore Bog covers an area of 240ha and forms part of the BnM Derrygreenagh group. Garrymore Bog is currently being developed for milled-peat production by BnM and has had a single production season. It was originally developed for bagger-peat production but was considered too wet when one of the bagger machines sank in the bog. It was been milled only once, in 2002, and since then has become overgrown with heather. There were a total of 85 drains, oriented east-west. No archaeological sites were identified during the survey of this bog.
