Laois County Council requested an assessment of a proposed residential development at Cullahill Mountain. A desktop study of the site and its surrounds indicated that it lay within a rich archaeological landscape, although it was 190m from the nearest known monument (SMR 35:43, an earthwork site). Testing was undertaken. Nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
