Testing works were carried out pursuant to granted planning permission to construct a house and undertake associated site works. The development site is close to a church and graveyard. Seven trenches were opened on the site, with one of the trenches only 6m from the wall of the graveyard. No archaeological remains were uncovered and it would appear that the wall of the graveyard acted as a physical boundary, containing all activity with no encroachment into the remainder of the field.
