An underwater assessment was carried out at Derrylackey River, Crowbally/Coolinamod North, Co. Kilkenny, on 20 December 2004 in relation to the construction of a gas pipeline from Baunlusk, Co. Kilkenny, to Belview, Co. Waterford, by An Bord Gáis. The area comprised a 100m stretch of the Derrylackey River. Throughout this area a bedrock riverbed was noted, with only small pockets of gravel overburden. No ferrous or non-ferrous materials were contained within. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the assessment.
