An underwater assessment was carried out at Catsrock Stream, Catsrock, Co. Kilkenny, on 20 December 2004 in relation to the construction of a gas pipeline from Baunlusk, Co. Kilkenny, to Belview, Co. Waterford, by An Bord Gáis. The area under assessment comprised a 100m stretch of the Catsrock Stream. Throughout this area a gravel streambed was noted, with only a small number of ferrous and nonferrous materials contained within. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the assessment.
