The site of the proposed development is located to the south-east of SMR 5:2, a church site and graveyard. A series of fourteen test-trenches were excavated by mechanical digger. It could be seen that much of the site is located on made-up ground filled by waste material designed to increase ground level. No material of archaeological significance was noted throughout the development area.
