An assessment was carried out at two sites between St Michael's Terrace and Meeting Lane, both within the zone of archaeological potential for Athy. One area was a greenfield site bound on three sides by existing residential plots, while the second area functioned as a local authority carpark. The total site area was approximately 6875m2, or 1.7acres. There were no known archaeological monuments within these sites. Ten trenches were excavated through both areas. No significant archaeological remains were identified during the assessment.
