A test excavation was carried out as part of an assessment of a site at Loher, Waterville, Co. Kerry. The proposed development consisted of the construction of a dwelling house in a greenfield site and the renovation and extension of a derelict building. The proposed house site is located just outside the constraint zone for an ecclesiastical site (SMR 106:7). The derelict building, proposed extension and access road are located within the constraint zone for an enclosure (SMR 106:16). Eight trenches were excavated, none of which produced any archaeological finds or features.
