Four test-trenches were excavated at a proposed single house development at Garranes, Bonane, Kenmare. The site is over 100m from an ‘ecclesiastical remains’ complex, which includes a church, burial ground, bullaun stone and holy well. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted in any of the trenches.
