This development involved the construction of five houses with associated access road and site works in Ballydavid village on the eastern shore of Smerwick Harbour on the Dingle peninsula. Development works had started before an archaeologist was called, therefore testing was only carried out on four of the houses. This involved the excavation of trenches on the footprint of the platform for the houses. They were generally 10–14m long, 1.8m wide and 0.7–1.2m deep. No archaeological deposits were recorded.
