A licence extension was issued to undertake monitoring of surface stripping in advance of an extension to a sand and gravel quarry. This work took place between 23 August and 7 September 2004. The works encompassed 11690m2. The overburden consisted of 0.4–1.2m of bog or peat material, beneath which the natural sand and gravel surface was exposed. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered in the course of the works.
