Four trenches were mechanically excavated in the course of pre-development testing at Isertkelly, Ardrahan, Co. Galway, at a site adjacent to an enclosure, church and graveyard. The stratigraphy revealed in Trenches A–D was similar and consisted of sod and topsoil 0.1–0.2m in depth overlying bedrock. No features of archaeological significance were encountered.
