An assessment was carried out at Swords Shopping Centre, in the townland of Swords Glebe at the site of a proposed commercial development. The site was located within the zone of archaeological potential for Swords, SMR 11:34. The site had been extensively disturbed during the construction of the shopping centre in the 1970s. Test-trenching was conducted on the site on 29 November 2004. Three trenches were excavated. No features of archaeological significance were encountered.
