Monitoring was undertaken on the inside of the Academy Cinema. The works involved the lowering of ground level throughout the building and the insertion of supporting floor pads.
The remains of walling and a possible paved floor were identified but were all thought to relate to activity dating to the 19th and 20th centuries. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were identified.
