Testing and monitoring were undertaken in advance of the proposed construction of a military exhibition centre at Collins Barracks, Dublin 7. Four trenches were excavated using a mechanical excavator and the insertion of ESB ducts was monitored. The remains of wall foundations and a cobbled surface were identified and were thought to relate to a building that stood in the area in the late 18th century. No other features of archaeological significance were identified.
