The site occupies a terrace of derelict brick-built, two-up-two-down residential houses fronting on to Arran Street East. Renovation of these yellow-brick houses required monitoring of new service and extension trenches to the rear of the properties. There was no evidence for any archaeological deposits located in the trenches opened. The relative shallow level of excavation did not impact beyond the post-medieval infill material.
