Testing was undertaken at 83 Amiens Street, Dublin 1. One test-trench was excavated at the site. The excavation failed to produce any material of archaeological significance. The proposed development is located on a former intertidal zone. The presence of sands under the shallow garden soils indicates the location of a former beach or deposit layer.
