Testing took place at 65 Dalkey Avenue, Dalkey, Co. Dublin. The development plans include an extension to the rear and side of an existing house. The proposed development lies within the zone of archaeological potential for Dalkey town (SMR 23:23). Two test-trenches were excavated to the rear and side of the development site. A drain constructed of granite boulders was uncovered to the side of the house in Trench 2. This drain dates to the construction of the house in the mid- to late 19th century. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded during the testing.
