The proposed development at Ballystrang will involve the construction of nine wind turbines/crane bases, a meteorological mast and access roads. The site is partially forested. The terrain is very rough and consists of blanket bog with some outcrops of bedrock. No potential archaeological features were identified during the field inspection process, although the nature of the terrain meant the field inspection was hardly definitive. All excavation associated with the proposed development, including access roads, crane and turbine bases, was monitored. There was no evidence of archaeological activity anywhere on the site.
