Testing was carried out of a proposed development site at Spital, Buttevant. The development consisted of the construction of a dwelling house and associated services. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential for a fulacht fiadh (SMR 17:128). Five trenches were excavated along the footprint of the proposed dwelling house and driveway. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during testing.
