Pre-development testing was carried out at Lisnabrinny, Rossmore, Clonakilty, Co. Cork, as part of a planning application for the construction of a single dwelling house and associated site works. The house site is within the zone of archaeological potential for a ringfort and souterrain (SMR 121:14(01, 02)). The excavation of three test-trenches across the footprint of the house and along the driveway indicated that no archaeological features were present within the area of the proposed development.
