Pre-development testing was undertaken at Castle Street, Liscarroll, near a castle. Three trenches were excavated in the course of testing. The stratigraphy encountered in all trenches consisted of sod and topsoil over a clayey subsoil, which in turn overlay bedrock. No features of archaeological significance were encountered.
