Testing was undertaken at Laravoolta and Kilnacranagh East, Bandon, Co. Cork, following an application for planning permission for the construction of a single dwelling and associated infrastructure.
Test-trenches were excavated in all areas proposed for development. No archaeology was identified. Within the proposed development site but without the area proposed for construction is the 'priest's footprint', a flat stone with a footprint-shaped depression. There will be no impact on this feature.
