Testing of a proposed development site at Farranastig, Whitechurch, was carried out. This development consisted of the construction of a dwelling house and associated services. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential for a ringfort (SMR 62:52). Five trenches were excavated along the footprint of the proposed dwelling and driveway. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered.
