Testing of the site was carried out as part of an assessment at Creggane, Buttevant. This development consisted of the construction of a dwelling house and driveway. The site is located just outside a zone of archaeological potential as defined by SMR 17:53(01). Three trenches were excavated along the footprint of the proposed dwelling. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during testing.
