A quantity of disarticulated bone was recovered during the monitoring of the excavation of a service trench through the graveyard surrounding the church of St Nicholas on Cove Street, Cork. An extension to the service trench exposed a 2m-long section of an east-west mortared sandstone wall. The wall was 0.72m wide and stood to an exposed height of 0.5m and appears to be a retaining wall for the existing 18th/19th-century graveyard. The remaining trench was filled with modern introduced soils.
