Test-trenching was carried out in advance of development at Cathedral Avenue, Shandon, Cork, on behalf of the National Building Agency. The site is located to the north of the zone of potential for Cork, SMR 74:122. Four test-trenches were opened across the site. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the testing.
