Three small fires were found in a low-lying area close to the bottom of a natural slope on the N18 Ennis bypass. No objects were found to date the shallow pits, but the thin deposit of topsoil above might suggest a fairly recent date, as, being at the base of a gentle natural slope, soil would accumulate quite quickly.
