The site of the proposed development is located on a hilltop north-west of Ballyconnell town. It is to consist of a mobile telephone mast and associated compound, measuring no more than 10m by 10m. The site is situated near a damaged ringfort, located 100m to the south-east. The entire area of the proposed compound was stripped of topsoil. There was no evidence of any archaeological features or finds within the area exposed.
