The proposed development is to consist of a single house, access, garage and septic tank percolation area and is near a ringfort located to the north of the site in the same field. A 15m buffer zone between the edge of the development and the edge of the ringfort will be maintained. Five test-trenches, 1.5m wide and 10m long, were excavated by machine across the site. No archaeological remains were revealed.
