Monitoring of topsoil-stripping on a housing development at Chapelstown Gate, Co. Carlow, was carried out over two separate two-day periods in May and June 2004. The development was near an enclosure (SMR 7:65). No artefacts or features of an archaeological nature came to light in the course of monitoring on either occasion.
