It is proposed to construct a house with associated driveway, septic tank and percolation area at a site on the south-western slopes of Ballon Hill, Co. Carlow. The site is located in the general environs of a number of archaeological sites that range in date from the Early Bronze Age to the post-medieval period, and is within the archaeological constraint area of an Early Bronze Age cemetery complex (SMR 13:65). Six test-trenches were excavated. No features or artefacts of archaeological interest were identified.
