This field was advance stripped ahead of the North-West Gas Pipeline to investigate a possible linear ditch, adjacent to a large rath (SMR 33:27), revealed during trial-trenching. The possible ditch proved to be a modern plough furrow but several archaeological features—four pits and a linear ditch—were uncovered elsewhere in the field. A single sherd of post-medieval pottery was recovered from the fill of the ditch. No finds were recovered from any of the other features.
