These two fields were advance stripped to investigate two possible ancient field banks noted during fieldwork on the North-West Gas Pipeline. The low banks proved to be the two sides of a grassed-over, post-medieval trackway.Three small pits were uncovered to the west of the disused trackway. One piece of flint and one sherd of prehistoric pottery were recovered from the upper fill of the largest of the pits.
