Monitoring was undertaken at a new housing development site located at Springfarm Road on the northern outskirts of Antrim town in advance of construction. The topsoil was removed using a mechanical digger fitted with a flat toothless bucket to reveal the underlying light-greyish-orange sandy clay subsoil. No archaeological deposits were observed.
