A test excavation was carried out as part of an assessment of a development site at Macreddin West, Aughrim, Co. Wicklow. The development consisted of the construction of an extension to a private house. The site was located within the archaeological zone of potential for the town of Macreddin. Four trenches were excavated, none of which produced any archaeological finds or features.
