Planning permission for the erection of a dwelling was given by Wexford County Council on the site of an enclosure levelled in 1984. Hand-excavation of test-pits was requested by the National Monuments Section to determine the level of archaeological material across the site. This was undertaken in November 2003 and showed that the ditch of the monument was covered in redeposited subsoil, presumably from the levelling of the bank. Further testing was recommended.
