Eighteen trenches measuring a total of over 2000m in length were mechanically excavated on the site of Phase 2 of the development of a large business park in October/November 2003. Phase 1 had been assessed previously by Deirdre Murphy (Excavations 2000, No. 1038, 00E0125), when nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered. The trenches revealed that the site was covered with between 0.5 and 3m of bog and nothing of archaeological interest was encountered.
