The site at Woodstown 3 was excavated in advance of construction of the N25 Waterford Bypass. Three linear features were initially detected in centre-line testing of the site. On further investigation, they were found to represent the remains of drainage ditches, possibly associated with land reclamation. A sherd of modern pottery was collected from one of the ditches.
