An impact assessment was undertaken on the site of a proposed extension and conversion of the Old Woollen Mill, Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. A disused mill and three outbuildings currently occupy the area of proposed development. The mill pre-dates the first edition of the OS map, although the outbuildings are of later construction. The site is on the boundary of the zone of archaeological potential for the site of a castle.
Three trenches were excavated around the mill, but no significant archaeological deposits were identified.
