Testing was carried out on 23 September 2003, 70m south of the quay at Terryglass, in advance of a proposed sewage scheme. Two trenches, 3m long, 0.7m wide and 0.3m in depth, were excavated at the site of the proposed pumping station, which is near SMR 6:4, a holy well. Nothing of archaeological significance was found on the site.
