Monitoring of the excavations for ten shallow pads and a sewer trench inside a shop refurbishment revealed no features or deposits of archaeological significance. It should be noted, however, that the bases of all the holes were within modern fill, so there is still the possibility of an underlying stratigraphy untouched by the present work.
