This site on the N8 Cashel Bypass and N74 Link Road scheme was tested in 2002 by Anne Marie Lennon (Excavations 2002, No. 1745, 02E0375). Further testing was recommended between Chainages 6510 and 6540 and this revealed two ditches, eight pits, one stake-hole, three furrows and two post-holes.
Due to the proximity of this site to the Site 13 (No. 1787 above) Bronze Age pits (10m north of Site 14), it was recommended that the western portion of the site should be fully topsoil-stripped and all features resolved. Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered; all identified features related to agricultural or garden activity associated with a building plot recorded on the first-edition OS map.
