An assessment was undertaken to support a planning application for a 31-unit residential development. The proposed development area lay near SMR 43:28, a burial ground. Beside the graveyard is a chapel built in 1820. None of the grave memorials pre-date this.
Testing was undertaken on 11 November 2003. Five trenches were excavated. Within each of these, the topsoil overlay the substratum and nothing of archaeological interest was noted.
