The area monitored for construction outfall drains was located outside the original CPO of the N8 Cashel Bypass and N74 Link Road scheme but near Site 30(ii) (No. 1798 below, Chainage 3180–3330) and west of the Cashel–Clonmel road. An imposing ringfort (SMR 61:74) is situated east of the Moyle Stream, therefore the potential for archaeological remains along the Moyle was considered to be significant.
Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered from the monitoring works.
