The construction of a house extension required monitoring as the site lies roughly in the centre of the medieval town of Carrick-on-Suir, lying between Main Street and the North Quay. Demolition of the previous building on the site and monitoring of the excavation of the foundations of the new structure did not uncover any archaeological material.
