Groundworks associated with the construction of a private dwelling at the corner of Mass Road and Corpse Road in Carrickbeg required monitoring. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential for the medieval suburb of Carrickbeg and lies just north of Relig na Muc graveyard. This was the site of the medieval parish church of Killmolleran, no trace of which remains. The boundaries of the graveyard have been altered and reduced since the mid-19th century. Monitoring revealed a layer of rubble 0.7m deep immediately below the topsoil, from a building which stood on the site in the 1850s. No archaeological material was found.
